BigComic Paintings

Curator's Notes

In this vibrant assemblage of thirteen panels, *BigComic Paintings* dismantles the boundary between high-art canvas and the ephemeral pulse of internet subculture. By weaving iconic archetypes—from pixelated avatars to cinematic icons—into the painterly language of Pop Art, the collection captures the frenetic, surreal "Wha?" of our digital age. It is a playful yet profound autopsy of modern iconography, where the weight of classic caricature meets the absurdity of the meme, turning every stroke into a sharp, visual punchline that demands we take our nonsense seriously.
