All lives are worth protecting.
“Portrait of Macklemore”, an original painting on canvas by Big Comic, went up in a no-reserve USDC auction that has now closed. Thank you to everyone who watched and took part. Big Comic plans to donate 50% of the artist's proceeds to the same organizations Macklemore pledged $1,000,000 to for Gaza relief.
Every life has a name.
Every life has a family.
Every life is worth protecting.
The idea
A child in Gaza is a child. A mother is a mother. Grief sounds the same in every language, and so does hope.
Protecting life shouldn't depend on where someone is born, what they believe, or which side of a border they live on. That's the idea behind this piece.
Art can't end a war. But it can refuse to look away, and it can move real resources to people who need them right now.
— Big Comic
Why this drop exists
Gaza, panel by panel.
Comic panels by Big Comic Art, adapted from photographs taken in Gaza by UNRWA photographers in 2024 and 2025. Behind every panel are real people.
This was their home.
Then the rain came.
She is someone's whole world.
Families wait for a hot meal.
Someone is still there to hold them.
Aid workers keep children safe.
And still, children find a way to play.
All lives are
worth protecting.

Pledged by Macklemore for Gaza relief
Backing the idea.
Macklemore pledged $1,000,000 of his tour earnings to six organizations serving Palestinians in Gaza. Big Comic is a solo artist with no connection to him, backing the same idea: Big Comic plans to donate 50% of the artist's proceeds from this auction to those same organizations. With no reserve, collectors set the price, and the higher it goes, the more goes to relief.
